At Crosspoint Church, we care about our children as much as our adults, and we view our ministry as one geared toward families. We want your kids to have great time learning about the Word of God, developing a relationship with Jesus, and building lasting friendships. We’re committed to ensuring your kids have a heart for the house of God from a young age, and we believe that He has a purpose for every child.
Here at our church, we believe that a healthy family with a foundation in the teachings of Jesus produces healthy children with the same desire to serve. We strive to be a family ministry that teaches values from preschool and up.
At Crosspoint Church, your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. That’s why we ask that all parents check in their children through one of our convenient check in stations. One of our volunteers will be happy to assist you. We’ll give you a tag that corresponds with your child, and you must show that in order to pick him or her up from the classroom. These tags do not have the room number printed on them for safety purposes, so please make a mental note of that before you leave.
Rest assured, our children’s ministry leaders are trained and have undergone an extensive background check.
Why check in?
We ask that parents check their children in in case of an emergency and so that we can get to know everyone personally. When all of our families check in, we can then easily find a parent in case of an emergency, we can call each child by name, and we have records of attendance.
We’re dedicated to ensuring children understand the Word of God, and we always gear our presentations and activities to their age group. We offer three options for children on Sunday morning: Crosspoint Kids for Kindergartners through 5th grade, our Preschool room for children 3 and 4 years old and our Nursery. Of utmost importance to us is ensuring that children are learning in an environment they want to return to, so we also make sure that all of our activities are fun and exciting as well as being practical.
On Wednesday night during the school year, we offer a small-group learning environment called Crosspoint Kids, geared toward children in Kindergarten through fifth grades. Our program utilizes Orange Curriculum’s 252 Basics, and is based on Bible stories, core values, and a memory verse each month, while also offering presentations of the three basic truths from Luke 2:52:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
In addition, our curriculum has a focus on faith skills and life applications.
During our weekend worship, children are dismissed prior to the sermon to attend their own individualized service, geared toward reinforcing what they’ve learned in Crosspoint Kids.
